We’ve worked on a wide variety of projects this year, delivering hybrid and natural ventilation solutions to buildings across the country from schools and warehouses to a ferry terminal building and a stunning Grade II Listed hotel in Northumberland.
As part of the refurbishment at Matfen Hall in Northumberland, seventeen Aircool wall ventilators were installed beneath a striking rooflight which formed part of the newly covered external courtyards. The ventilators maintain a supply of fresh air to this enclosed area as part of the natural ventilation strategy and are controlled by a Passivent iC8000 intelligent controller which monitors the internal and external temperature and carbon dioxide level to allow the facilities team to control the ventilation system. While at the Isle of Man ferry terminal building, our circular Airstract roof terminals and internal insulated controllable dampers made the perfect addition to the project’s natural ventilation strategy.
And at Sunningdale School, a specialist primary school in Sunderland, we provided a comprehensive range of high-performance natural ventilation products, including thermal acoustic Aircool® window ventilators, Litevent Airstract® rooflight/ventilators and Airscoop® roof ventilation terminals. Our products were used throughout the school in classrooms, corridors and halls and were all tailored for the SEND environment.
But our projects are only half of the story, so here are just some of our other key highlights from the past year.
Introducing the No Leak Guarantee for peace of mind
Earlier this year we introduced our new market-leading 15 year no leak guarantee as standard across our Airscoop, Airstract, and Hybrid Plus Airstract roof ventilation terminal products. The patented double-bank louvre system in the terminal means that your building will be 100% ventilated regardless of the weather conditions and there is no requirement to undertake a regular servicing programme to qualify for the guarantee.
Fresh faces and new showroom spaces
You might have seen some new faces on the team this year as we welcomed Huw Poppy, Tony Kelly, Ben Dhaliwal and Harry Lang.
Business Operations Manager Huw Poppy joined us at the start of the year, closely followed by our new Business Development Manager for Scotland, Tony Kelly. And most recently we’ve appointed Ben Dhaliwal and Harry Lang as Technical Sales Engineers in the South East – roles that see them work directly with contractors, architects, specifiers and M&E consultants – providing support from initial specification right the way through to project completion.
We’ve also introduced our products into two showroom spaces of our parent group, Wienerberger, based in the Business Design Centre in Islington, London and in Newtownabby, Belfast. As well as being an ideal meeting point, customers can see our products in situ as our roof ventilation terminals are on show as well as our popular Aircool window/wall ventilator units that are wired-in and powered to demonstrate the quietness of the product. The showrooms are now open for meetings by appointment with the team.
We finish the year in a strong position to take us into 2024, as we continue to support our customers with dedicated technical and product advice on natural and hybrid ventilation solutions.
