Residential sector

Whilst supplying the residential sector is not the mainstay of Passivent’s business our natural and hybrid ventilation products have been used in a number of residential projects. This has included Litevents in low rise blocks of flats and roof terminals on a multi award-winning, new 48-home housing development in Scotland for the Gannochy Trust. Passivent’s intelligent Mechanical Extract Ventilation (iMEV) system has also been used in a number of residential properties, including heritage properties.

Ventilating homes

Litevents are a combined rooflight and controllable roof ventilation terminal. They are ideal for bringing daylight and ventilation to corridors and stairwells in low rise blocks of flats or other residential buildings. For the Gannochy Trust project ‘traditional’ style Airstract roof terminals formed a striking feature on the roofs of the houses. Their design suited the architecture of the dwellings and helped the new homes integrate with a neighbouring village built in the 1930s by AK Bell, Philanthropist. The development was underpinned by three core principles – Healthy homes for life, Lifetime neighbourhoods and High quality design. Our iMEV system has also been used as an ‘intelligent’ system to remove moisture in a variety of residential properties including heritage properties – this kind of system requires no occupant interaction.
