For our first ‘Meet the team’ of 2024 we caught up with Huw Poppy, Business Operations Manager. Find out more here about his role at Passivent and what he enjoys the most plus some interesting facts on his interests outside work including his hang gliding experience and his love for chillis.

Job title: Business Operations Manager
How long have you worked for Passivent? 8 years in total but with a 10-year gap in between!
What are the key aspects of your role? I like to get involved in all aspects of the business but particularly enjoy attending joint meetings with colleagues and assisting clients with their ventilation requirements
What do you enjoy the most about your role? Refurbishment projects are always interesting and providing bespoke solutions for these buildings always throws up several challenges!
Tell us something we don’t know about you? I went hang gliding with the world record holder who did the highest ever altitude glide and I grow chilli’s on an industrial scale.
What is your favourite film or TV show and why? Anything about ancient civilisations and true crime.
What’s the most interesting place you have travelled to? California… deserts, cities, forests and everything in between!
Have you ever met anyone famous? As a boy my father was president of the Magic Circle and we regularly had famous magicians at our house including Paul Daniels & Debbie McGee for dinner.
I can’t get through the week without… Running a few 10k’s
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? An astronaut! … but isn’t that every boy’s dream?
