Passivent breathes new life into London’s railway arches

Passivent’s insulated controllable dampers are providing a cross-flow ventilation strategy at Wood Lane Arches, London.

Passivent’s products have recently helped breathe new life into London’s railway arches. We have been involved in an interesting project where Transport for London has repurposed the land beneath the railway arches near Shepherd’s Bush.

Most of this land is used for pedestrian walkways however they’re rolling out a scheme to enclose the front and back of the arches to create lettable retail units such as cafe’s and hair salons.

As part of this scheme, Passivent worked with the architects ‘Extended Studio’ who have helped develop a cross-flow ventilation strategy utilising our insulated controllable dampers on opposite sides of the units. The first scheme at Wood Lane Arches has now been commissioned by Passivent and we think you’ll agree they look great!
