This means that occupants do not need to worry about turning ventilation on and off, or whether the ventilation is at the required level. The intelligent Passive Stack system does all of this for the occupant.

There are no fans making a noise within the system. This provides a better quality of living for occupants, and allows them to relax without the unwanted distraction of noisy fans. It also means that occupants will not be tempted to ‘switch off’ the ventilation.

• Uses no energy to operate
No electrical input is required and there are no electrical components within the system. This means there are no direct running costs for occupants, and reduces carbon emissions from the dwelling.

As stated by the BBA and the Energy Saving Trust, Passivent iPSVTM will last the life of a dwelling as there are no electrical components to malfunction. This results in Passivent iPSVTM being the lowest cost ventilation option available throughout the life of a dwelling. In addition, it also means that there is no energy required to manufacture replacements compared with electrical fans, which require regular replacement and a high level of energy to manufacture.
