OCTOBER 07 - STYLISH CHOICE TO VENTILATION

Contemporary, sleekness of design can be taken to extreme detailing with a new
ventilation option from Passivent Ltd.
One of the UK’s leading suppliers of natural ventilation
solutions, the company has developed a new, modern version
of its Ultra Vent, claimed to be among the slimmest window
ventilators on the market.
The new Ultra Vent and Grille projects just 11m from
the frame, yet is easy to install in all types of window,
and to operate. The slim design compliments modern styling,
with the added benefit of reduced risk of damage during
transit and on site.
The unique opening mechanism is finger-tip controlled
and adjusted to create gentle, trickle background ventilation
with incoming air directed upwards to avoid draughts
and thus potential discomfort for people within the room.
The operating flap is itself fitted with a foam seal
to ensure weatherability and air permeability are maintained,
whilst the external canopy includes a fly screen to prevent
ingress by insects.
Manufactured from polyester powder coated aluminium
with plastic end caps, the Ultra vent provides a tight,
weatherproof seal with the window.
It is available as standard in white, brown and caramel,
providing 3600mm2 equivalent area, with other
RAL colours and lengths available to order. It is suitable
for all types of window, be it aluminium, PVCu or timber.
The Ultra Vent is Grille is the latest addition to the
Passivent range. In addition to trickle ventilators Passivent
supplies the Fresh range of through wall ventilators,
plus BBA- certified ‘whole house’ natural
(PIV) and mechanical (iMEV) ventilation solutions, with
or without acoustic options. All of these contribute
towards efficient ventilation of the home with little
or no energy consumption. Passivent is part of the Building
Product Design Group, which specialises in developing
innovative yet practical ventilation and roofing products
in line with changing market requirements.
